Our Process

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

To help ensure accurate results and a smooth appointment, please follow these important guidelines:

  • Follow any fasting instructions provided by your healthcare provider or laboratory.
  • Stay well hydrated by drinking water unless instructed otherwise.
  • Avoid smoking, alcohol, strenuous exercise, and excessive caffeine before your appointment when applicable
  • Have a valid government-issued photo ID available.
  • Wear clothing that allows easy access to your upper arm.
  • If a urine specimen is required, avoid emptying your bladder immediately before your appointment
  • Please notify us if you have special mobility needs or require accommodations.

WHAT TO
EXPECT

Your appointment may include one or more of the following services depending on the requirements of your physician, laboratory, employer, or insurance company.

  • Medical history questionnaire
  • Blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen level
  • Height and weight measurements
  • Blood specimen collection
  • Urine specimen collection
  • EKG (when requested)
  • Drug & alcohol testing (when applicable)
  • Specimen processing and laboratory delivery

  • Please inform us if you have a history of difficult blood draws or needle anxiety.
